    I don't see anything wrong with use of the term like "awe." Nor even with the way the diarist wrote about the body healing itself.

    I have a friend who is a biochemist at Rockefeller University who works with Nobel level biochemists and he constantly talks about these matters.

    For example, when he talks about things like protein production or glucose metabolism he says it's really difficult to talk about them as random chemical reactions and says things like this enzyme then hands of the substrate to the next enzyme. His study of biochemistry has made him a Buddhist because he says there is some sort of life force at the chemical level.

    Carl Sagan often talked about his own awe as did Einstein.

    I can understand your disagreeing with that view, but I can't really understand someone saying it's unreasonable or inconsistent with science considering some of the people who see the world that way.
