  •  They took the House...after being declared (0+ / 0-)

    "dead".

And also worth noting:  The GOP doesn't need to have any majority status anywhere for their policies to advance.

Because the GOP is only 1/2 of the Plutocracy Party.

Is It Time To Wake Up?

Accomplishments - not requiring a GOP majority control of government:

-- Banksters as Chief of Staff in the White House

    -- Bankster as Treasury Secretary

-- Public praise of Banksters as "Savvy Businessmen" by the White House

-- Tax Cut for the Wealthy Renewed

-- Deficit Commissions stacked with anti-worker zealots

    -- Patriot Act Renewal

    -- NDAA

-- Massive Spying on American Citizens

    -- War Against Whistle Blowers

-- Expanded power of the Executive to issue non-review-able secret kill orders

    -- Bernanke, Summers, Geithner, Holder

-- Department of Injustice publicly asserting WS Bankster Immunity from the Law

    -- Anti-worker Free Trade Job Off-shoring w/ Panama, Columbia, and S. Korea

-- Anti-worker Free Trade pro-1% super deal, Trans Pacific Partnership

    -- Drill, baby, Drill!

    ------------------------------------

Amazing what gets accomplished without the GOP controlling government, isn't it?

    Time To Wake Up?

The excuses for Obama's behavior have long since passed the point of predictability neccessary to qualify as an absurd production of Kabuki Theater.

    •  You've adeptly (0+ / 0-)

      conflated two issues.

The only salient one -- the GOP's retaking the House -- is mitigated by the fact that a majority of Americans who voted, voted to be represented by a Democrat. It's only gerrymandering that's keeping the GOP in control of the lower chamber of Congress.

      •  Perhaps I didn't represent my point very well... (0+ / 0-)
1 -- The Democrat / GOP paradigm is a symbiotic relationship;  You can't have one flavor without the other

2 -- There are regular predictions of GOP doom (and demise of the Democratic for the GOP base);  These predictions are made on a regular basis;  Excuses are offered when such prediction inevitably fail to materialize

The majority rule / minority rule see-saw between D and R does not affect the advancement of the 1% & Empire's interests. There is no reversal of policy - only a change in marketing / speed with which various pro-1% structural policies are advanced.

The game of D and R demise is just that - it's a show, put on for the respective bases.  If either (D) or (R) were to truly experience a demise, the 1% would have to replace a very complicated and expensive paradigm.

They, the 1%, will not allow a successful paradigm to die which proven so successful at keeping things going in the direction of the 1%.

Gerrymandering, social issues, filibusters - it doesn't matter what the excuse is:  The bottom line is that this country's structural policies which benefit the 1% have not and will not change until we escape the paradigm.

The excuses for Obama's behavior have long since passed the point of predictability neccessary to qualify as an absurd production of Kabuki Theater.
