    was directly affected by the Chinese Exclusion Act - and it's quite possible that one of my grandfathers had to create false paperwork to reflect citizenship by birth (since at the time Chinese women were prevented from coming to America, and thus highly unlikely my grandfather could have been born here!).  As it was, he could not bring his first wife (in China) to this country, and so married a second wife, my grandmother - who in fact was actually born here.  

    Because Japanese Americans were interned in camps, much focus was placed on Japanese Americans who still joined and served in the military, but there were still restrictions put upon Chinese Americans as had been with Japanese Americans as far as prejudice and fear of the "yellow tide".
