we must struggle with to bring social justice, voting rights for me brings with it a certain primacy.  Because when we as Americans cannot exercise our most basic means for taking part in the "democracy" of the US - by voting - we lose power to fix all other issues as well.  It's a cornerstone issue.

And there are so many abuses of voting rights to fix in addition to the new heaps of manure piled on us from the right that were enabled by this childish move of the Roberts court.

Thanks for the great info.  Half my family is Asian-American and I was born just down the road from the Heart Mountain relocation camp.  It was personally interesting to read the bios of Fung and Moua.  I will be digging into it for a few days.  I may end up joining some of those groups.  What the Roberts court has shown is that we need fight back hard and stay vigilant.  You are so right.  It is a WAR.

those groups - they do amazing work and though they don't always get much visibility here - they are there for our multiple Asian-American communities in ways that really count.

Thank you for the link to Heart Mountain, I found some excellent suggested reading material there I can pass on to my students.
