  •  How are the Masons (7+ / 0-)

supposed to lobby when they can barely get enough members each generation to exist at all? Because my spouse did Demoley (sp?) as a youth, he's been actively courted by our small and getting smaller local Masons for years. Its dying in some parts of the country, along with Moose, Oddfellows, Lions, etc. Eleemosynary community groups are becoming relics of another age of community boosterism, social clubs, and charitable groups.

I've seen a lot of Masonic/Eastern Star funeral rites in the five years I've been in my community.

I have taken a full year of Law and Government Class and have determined that government and politics are my left ass cheek.-my 18 year old daughter

for Masons to actively recruit. I have five generations of Masonry in my family and none of them ever asked me if I was interested in joining. I made that move on my own, though growing up in that kind of family, it is hardly surprising that I would express interest.

I resent that. I demand snark, and overly so -- Markos Moulitsas.
