  •  From Philly this is a schlep (4+ / 0-)

The distance is shorter, but the journey less straightforward (and probably longer) than into Manhattan. That said, I will mark it down in my calendar and see what my life is like as the time approaches.

Sorry we didn't get to see you yesterday!

Ok, so I read the polls.

    •  Depends where from in Philly (4+ / 0-)

If you're in University City or Center City, it's pretty easy.  But if you are off in the "outer boroughs" if you will, like Manayunk, Mt. Airy, etc., then yes it will be more of a schlep because it all depends on getting to 30th St. Station.

Hopefully it won't be too much of a problem.  Perhaps some people with cars can carpool with people and drive up to NB, which isn't excessively far.

Sorry I missed the meetup this past Sunday as well - weekend science experiments, the bane of grad students!

      •  No worries (4+ / 0-)

If it's any consolation, the only reason I didn't have to spend the weekend in the office is that I can use Westlaw through Citrix.

In any case, I live in Center City, and I still consider it a schlep. It's almost as long of a trip as PHL-NYC via SEPTA and NJ Transit, which is something I've pretty much vowed never to do again (changing in Trenton blows). Renting a car would make it an easier excursion--but exclude beer for the most part.

As I said, I may make the trip anyway.

Ok, so I read the polls.
