  •  I think you should go back to your original diary (7+ / 0-)

    And learn from the comments.

I'm sorry that you feel alone. It's a rough spot to be in and I know how scary it feels. Get some therapy, go see a doctor. Don't wallow in the darkness- I know, easier said than done. Getting help is really hard. I know how hard it is. And learning to reach out to others is even harder. I have firsthand experience with that. It's always hard to do. But it's worth it.

And, if you don't want to get banned again, you should edit your confession out of this diary.

Be well and seek some help. You will be glad you did. And keep in mind that it's not going to work overnight, and you will always still have bad days when the darkness wraps around you. Depression is a treatable disease, but not curable. So don't consider it to be a failure when you've having a bad day, or if nothing works for the first couple of weeks. It takes time, so be patient.

    P.S. I am not a crackpot.

    •  Good glory, BB, you did a heroic and thoughtful (6+ / 0-)

and compassionate job in (both of) your comments (including the extended comment in the previous diary). Kudos on your infinite patience and incisiveness, I hope the diarist goes back an re-reads your comments a couple of hundred times.

Thanks. Whenever anyone shows so much anxiety and conflict about sex, it gets me going. For me, it's always a glowing neon light that says "disturbed individual,"

DBR is young enough that it can change. Fingers crossed that he gets some help- I just read another diary of his about depression. He obviously views it as a personal failure.

The best thing anyone ever told me on this site was that I didn't have to make myself hurt in order to be free. Three decades of torture, and a comment on the internet woke me up.

Not that I succeed at following that advice, but you never know when a simple comment on the internet can change someone's perspective.

Of course, I'm not always this nice LOL. But I do feel for this kid. He's got a lot of damage in his psyche.

        P.S. I am not a crackpot.
