person's diary? I have never gotten the hang of the so-called "search" feature here.

    P.S. I am not a crackpot.

    •  I took the date of his last diary, and searched (3+ / 0-)

my own comments for that date. Also checked for his comments in the diary from his old Profile page, and hit Parent a lot to see just what had been going on.

Search doesn't help me a lot, either, for the most part, but if a diarist has made any comments outside the Tip Jar, they're generally useful. Also, checking a Tip Jar to see who's HR'd it and then checking those individuals to see if they commented in the diary can be useful.

The previous incarnation ended in one mell of a hess, including a much recommended diary by Twigg.

At least half the future I've been expecting hasn't gotten here yet. Sigh.... (Yes, there's gender bias in my name; no, I wasn't thinking about it when I signed up. My apologies.)

    •  Just go to the actual diary, then press (0+ / 0-)

control + f (hold control button, then press f) and the search box will become visible. Then just type in your screen name and click through.
