  •  No, you've accomplished something (6+ / 0-)

    if you do that.

It just doesn't entitle you to special magical consideration as a Job Creator. For instance, it doesn't entitle you to the lower tax rates that Romney and company think you should have, as if you needed extra incentive to create those jobs or you've done something uniquely valuable in creating those jobs that no-one else could have done.

Somewhere in there you admitted that Bezos did indeed create something of value to the workers of America though. We're making progress here.

      •  Of course he did! Just like the Kochs and Cain (4+ / 0-)

and a whole lot of right-wingers. But it's not like if they hadn't created those jobs, there'd be a gaping hole in the economy that no-one else could have filled. Besides, I'm really not seeing how this affects whether we should see ourselves as politically aligned with them.

I really wish more people would take it.  When there is a demand for something, eventually that demand will be met.

If it wasn't Bezos filling that demand, someone else would have and maybe, just maybe they wouldn't have been so anti worker.

That's why the myth of the job creators and masters of the universe is utter bullshit.  IN a world of 7 BILLION people, someone, somewhere would have filled that demand and probably would have done a better job of it.  The jobs created as a result of the demand being met would have been created regardless of who was investing their capital.
