  •  Why have a poll with one option? (0+ / 0-)

Seems silly. The more interesting poll question would be will Congress pass a continuing resolution by Sept 30th? I think the answer to that may also be NO.

with no CR in place on 9/30/13. I think the House will pass a CR, but make it 30 days.

        •  Will the CR lock in the sequester (0+ / 0-)

or will it revert to the pre-sequester spending levels in place at the beginning of FY 2013?

          •  The sequester is here to stay (0+ / 0-)

The tax hikes on the high earners, allowing the top rate to rise to 39.6% and the capital gains rate to go from 15% to 23.8% (20.0 + 3.8) when added to the sequester is the mini-deal. Although neither party will state it the mini-deal has taken the heat off agreeing to the Grand Bargain. The Dems like the hike in taxes for the wealthy and more Defense cuts than they would likely be able to negotiate and the GOP likes the reduced spending and the lower annual deficit numbers. So the CR that will come out of the House will be at best at sequester levels, and likely lower. However, the Senate will have their say before anything is passed and signed.
