This is a rare diary on both science and law that gets both the science and the law wrong.

I love the nutrition analysis picture, which is great.  You might think someone would point out that it's a comparison of soil, not corn.  It's right there in the first footnote.

    •  No, it's not a comparison of soil. Duh. /eom (0+ / 0-)
      •  It does appear to be a comparison of soil. (7+ / 0-)

The lines in that table would make no sense as a comparison of produce.  pH?  Cation exchange capacity?  These are properties of soil.

And notice the "% of organic matter" line.  Do you honestly believe that any variety of corn or any other plant is only 1-2% organic matter?  What's the rest, aluminum?

Nevermind that it's posted in a recommended diary without any attribution whatsoever.  We shouldn't even have to speculate about this graph, because we should have a source to go look it up.

via the Google: it was prepared by some group called ProfitPro, for a seed company named De Dell, the image itself (presumably without supplementary material) was sent via email to a blog called momsacrossamerica, where it traveled virtually from there.  So you won't find a primary source outside the image itself, like an explanation of what it is or how the report was prepared.
