    Milton Friedman, I hear, was a fierce advocate FOR QUANTITATIVE EASING for Japan's decades-long recession beginning in the '90s.

    I know. It's too weird to even contemplate. Complicated and involved, figuring that one out. One nutshell explanation is that QE is okay and even important in a FIAT MONEY SYSTEM like the Federal Reserve.

    No explaining THAT to the Teabaggers...
