      that is why I suggest we look to what Canada has done.

      Fox News as it exists today was deemed to violate the Canadian law.  That seems to me like a good thing.

      I also think this could be crafted to apply only to programs who label themselves as news, and then the first amendment would be up against consumer protection and truth in advertising.

      It is illegal for me to make false claims about something I sell.  It should be the same for people who produce/sell the news (in my opinion).
