    Revealing illegal or unconstitutional conduct should be protected from prosecution of any kind. Expand that to waste, abuse, corruption, and negligence, and there's yer "journalism shield law" for ya.

      one can't know that it's unconstitutional until it's already revealed because the court will refuse to test its constitutionality until it's revealed. So there's a bit of a bind for the whistle blowers there. Although I agree in general with you, I don't see how it can actually be implemented.

      If debt were a moral issue then, lacking morals, corporations could never be in debt.

        that the would-be whistleblower would be taking. At least that way it would be a public decision in court, not executive branch-only "due process."

        And of course you'd still want to be fairly sure actual espionage is prosecutable.

        Better than what we have now, though.
