    cultural Christianity from political/governmental Christianity, that might explain the numbers. They may come from wording confusion.

      and was clearly stated above in the diary.  I also linked to the underlying report and analysis.  All folks have to do is read the diary and look at the data for themselves.

        from the survey. The question was, "Does the US Constitution establish a Christian nation?"  Many people looking at that would think, well yes, this nation is made up of mostly Christian people, and they are protected by the Constitution, so the answer is 'yes'.  People do get confused by terminology.  

        A better question might have been "Does the Constitution establish our nation as officially being a Christian nation?"
