    If 71% thought the US was a "Christian" nation in 2005, but now it's 51% that's immense PROGRESS in weaning folks away from their ignorance.

    That would be cause for encouragement.

    After all, once that figure dips below 50%, all pretense of that being so falls apart, and the ability of that minority to enforce its dogma on the "majority" decreases substantially.

    It would also be interesting to see the crosstabs by geography. If the level of thinking is 51% nationally, it must be well below that everywhere outside of the South.

    What separates us, divides us, and diminishes the human spirit.
