    say that there were some. Alot of them, really.

    But the entire point of my comment was that powerful nations are going to do lots of good bad things to lots of people all over the world, simply because they can. Luxembourg could have the most evil government ever and it wouldn't much matter to anyone outside of Luxembourg, would it?

    You really didn't provide anything in your reply to counter my point. If the folks currently running the show in Egypt had the power that the United States has, what would they do with it? I'm thinking they'd do alot worse than mistreating a few dozen guys at Gitmo and reading people's emails.

    And no, I'm not saying it's OK to wrongfully imprison/torture people or flaunt the rule of law. In the spirit of the Bush Doctrine, I'm preemptively rolling my eyes at that strawman.

    You can do whatever you want to us, but we're not going to sit here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America.
