  •  Bullshit, shit fuck! (0+ / 0-)

The fact remains, RT receives $300 million from the Russian federal budget.

It is up to the viewer to decide whether or not their reporting on any topic is motivated or biased by their funding.

I have not made any assumptions one way or the other regarding their accuracy or bias. I believe that people ought to know how media companies are funded. That knowledge plays a role in deciding how to analyze reports from said sources.

If you think that is bullshit, fine. But you may want to drop the anger. I don't even live in the United States anymore, BTW. Of course I get my news from "foreign" sources. And I never even mentioned the CBC (who do receive funding from the government so they are not completely independent financially).

"news" agency is or is not is completely unresponsive to my original post and only serves as a distraction from the orginal point. RT simply interviewed New York cops and an American organizer for the video report. It is very easy to check the veracity of the report from their YouTube link.

Officers with the New York Police Department have come forward and blown the whistle on the Stop-and-Frisk program in the Big Apple. According to the whistleblowers, officers are expected to meet a quota when it comes to enforcing this provocative policy which many say is targeting minorities in the community. Until now, NYPD officials were denying racial bias, but two recordings could turn the tables on the policy. Jose LaSalle, organizer against Stop-and-Frisk, joins us to discuss the surprising evidence and how this program has affected his family.
