Kid takes cookie from cookie jar without permission and is caught holding cookie in hand.   Says, "I didn't take it."

    Same behavior.

The question isn't how it's learned but why it wasn't unlearned.  Why are people like Lowry (and any anti-science, et al Republican) in an arrested stage of development?

I strongly suspect, since all the talking points keep lining up, that the right-wing think tanks and marketing firms -- from Rove to the Koch fig-leaves to whomever -- are putting out memos and running trainings and seminars and dictating the talking points.

I don't believe for a minute that all these guys are simultaneously and spontaneously coming up with exactly the same stupid remarks.

but some years back, the GOP held classes and training for conservative kids and political wannabees, taught them how to pose in front of certain DC buildings and local facilities, but not others, taught them how NOT to answer questions, taught (and held practices) on how to debate opponents,  and how to attack anyone being at all aggressive during an interview.

It was anti-journalism 101, and much of what we witless today is because of those classes.

What we call god is merely a living creature with superior technology & understanding. If their fragile egos demand prayer, they lose that superiority.

My goodness, that monkey of a man was trained by ALEC, just like the others, to deliver the message, he just garbled it worse than the others.

We are all in this together.
