I hope my state of Minnesota can become a model to other states on how to push back on the GOP/ALEC overreaches.  We got our own teabagger revolution in 2010...but we were fortunate enough about 2 things:

    - Mark Dayton was elected and prevented most of the long-term damage that occurred in other states where they took the governorship.

    - Minnesota republicans had been out of power for so long that they didn't know how to act or what Minnesotans would tolerate.  They shut down the state government and tried to ram marriage discrimination and voter suppression down our throats via ballot initiatives.  They tried to push Stand Your Ground, anti-environment, and anti-choice legislation.

    Minnesotans said "NO!!"

My only hope is that Minnesota Democrats learned their lesson on what happens when republicans get the majority and we resolve to keep our collective boot on the GOP's neck in subsequent election cycles.

That's the LEAST the republicans deserve from us....
