  •  Saw Two Accidentals This Weekend (15+ / 0-)

Two birds appeared outside my computer room window.  One in the euonymous shrub was small, built like a warbler, long thin beak in proportion to head size. gray with black wing bars.  Looks a lot like a bananaquit, aka Bahama honey creeper, but I didn't see any yellow on its underside.

The other bird was larger and had solid gray to yellowish, buff breast to abdomen and uppers were a dusky black brown.  Built like a robin, robust, with square tail about same length as lower body.  It was perched in the tamarind tree, looking lost.  Robins always stay on the ground when they migrate through here.

While we did have a solid overcast day last THUR due to tropical conditions offshore, no particular high winds in our area to suspect they blew in.  Maybe out over Atlantic?
