    a much lower standard don't you think?

    Cars have serial numbers, registration, licensing for the operator, and insurance requirements.

    Saying that guns are held to a higher standard is really laughable.

      operate them on the public roadway.  You're free to not register an automobile operated solely on private property, farmers do it all the time around these parts with their old jalopies that won't pass a safety inspection.

      Heck, they're even allowed to cross public right-of-ways (i.e., roads) with their unregistered/uninsured/non-inspected motor vehicles, if crossing said right-of-way is the only way to go from Field A to Field B.

      So, do you want to advocate for licensing prior to people being able to carry firearms in the public space?  Guess what?  Most every state (save Vermont, Alaska, Arizona, and I think Utah) already has such a requirement.

      There are four boxes to be used in the defense of liberty: soap box, ballot box, jury box and ammo box. Use in that order.
