how a air-bearing-supported vehicle in a tube is going to orient itself to any axis other than the one in which the net gravity/acceleration/cornering forces exist.

Já þýðir já. Nei þýðir nei. Hvað er svona erfitt við það?

... it is going to do that without any lateral accelerations being experienced by the passengers in the process of the changes of pitch, roll and yaw.

That is the point of the 0.5g from the passenger's frame of reference being a design limit for the corridor, that the deviations of the tube from perfectly straight are constrained so that they do not impose more than 0.5g acceleration on the passengers in any direction.

Again that is "What is On The Tin".

If you want to talk about a hypothetical proposal in which the accelerations along the roll axes are constrained to 0.5g, the decelerations along the roll axes are constrained to 0.2g, and the accelerations along the pitch and yaw axes are constrained to 0.05g , you are talking about a different set of constrains to the ones under which this alignment was developed.

And talking about a hypothetical Hyperloop under a tighter set of passenger comfort constraints is a change in topic from the purported topic of your diary, which is an attack on my critique of the Actual proposal.

You can't defend the actual proposal by changing it. That only defends the underlying technology.
