    certificate from Alberta.  Nothing like what Cruz has produced but that doesn't mean anything.

      Too many variables to tell that way. Date of original issue, date of re-issue after losing the first version, municipality compared to state/provincial issue..... yup, lots of variables ;-)

      Guessing that the laminated small version is a more recent issue that you (or your parents) applied for well after your birth; not sure when that started being a common form in Canada. It's for Ontario, but some history with a focus on genealogical issues is here.
