    showrooms here in LA.

My next car will be an electric or electric hybrid. If I can't afford a Tesla, it will be a Volt, Smart Electric, or LEAF.

I've wanted a Volt ever since they came out but I had a good dependable car. Last Monday I totaled my old car in an accident. It seemed like a good time to make the change to electric. It feels great going down the street quietly using no gas. Even when I need to use gas the Volt gets 40 mpg. I'm sure I'll love this volt just as much years from now.

I got it used with 3000 miles and I only have a 120Volt charger.  I just drive it around town, but it works great.  I like it a lot.

A Tesla though, you can go out of town a 300 mile battery pack.

I'm planning on getting the Volt the next time I need a new car (or the Model S if I hit it big by then :-) ). Both cars are great in their own ways, in my opinion.
