    point"? Oh, reaaaallly?

    Electoral vote     332     to Romney's 206
    States carried     26 + DC     to Romney's 24
    Popular vote     65,915,796    to Romney's 60,933,500
    Percentage     51.1%     to Romney's 47.2%

By my calculations, that's 2.1 points. Not 0.8 as claimed.

Oh, and "In the cover of night"? I'm surprised he didn't pull out the Nancy Pelosi misquote.

Here's her quote in full, for anyone who wants to rebut that stupid crap.

"You've heard about the controversies within the bill, the process about the bill, one or the other. But I don't know if you have heard that it is legislation for the future, not just about health care for America, but about a healthier America, where preventive care is not something that you have to pay a deductible for or out of pocket. Prevention, prevention, prevention—it's about diet, not diabetes. It's going to be very, very exciting. But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy."

I'd like to start a new meme: "No means no" is a misnomer. It should be "Only 'Yes' means yes." Just because someone doesn't say "No" doesn't mean they've given consent. If she didn't say "Yes", there is no consent.

Lemme see if I can recall.

           51.1
        -  47.2
      _____

             3.9

I don't know where either the 0.8 or the 2.1 come from, unless it's his particular district?

      •  The video does say the 0.8 was for his district (1+ / 0-)

Don't know where 2.1 comes from.

The Republicans had lots of opportunity to have input - they chose to boycott the process because they were trying to block the bill from ever coming to a vote and they nearly succeeded.  Had they managed to stall it just a little longer, I think the bill would not have had 60 votes.  As it was, the Senate had to wait for months to settle that Al Franken was Minnesota's Senator, and Ted Kennedy was on his last legs.

I get mad when I hear a Republican say that they don't get a chance to make legislation in Washington.  They have 40 repeal ACA votes, but can't sponsor one jobs bill.  They have hearings after hearings on Benghazi!!! but they can't get budgets proposed, let alone passed.

Republicans are dedicated to their selfish greedy overlords and they have made the decision to try and prevent everything from passing if they can't get their way, and they can't even decide what they want their way to be other than repeal and no replace on just about every law - not just ACA, but agencies like the Consumer Financial Protection Agency, the EPA, ATF, FDA, etc, etc, etc.

      •  GAH! I even used a calculator so I wouldn't (1+ / 0-)

        be wrong. Thanks Microsoft! LOL

And I don't care if the 8/10 was for his district. We don't elect presidents based on who a district votes for. We elect a president based on who the country votes for. President Obama LOST my district. But he's still president.
