Don't tell me what you believe, show me what you do and I will tell you what you believe.

        It should be:

"Don't tell me what you believe, show me what you do and there will be some objective evidence on what you believe about which I believe I could then venture an opinion."

What you do speaks so loudly that I cannot hear what you say.

As a Pagan I believe in standing up for ones right. The reason why I am a Pagan is because I can not conform to a religious belief. I myself believe in all the Gods and Goddesses of the Old Ways. That is not for everyone and I respect that. It is why I am writing this as my first dairy please understand we are not black and white. I have views that differ from some and that is fine. Nobody should be forced to pick sides on this.
Pagans have religious belief's, often more than one. The way it worked in antiquity was that religions were not considered monotheistic, what was worshiped or celebrated was a platonic ideal so it was easy to have a set of ideals or standards that any given group considered the essence of what was right and proper.

Indeed standing up for ones right (not rights, but right as a standard) implies doing exactly that.

Some of these ideals were polar opposites so its hard to imagine standing for or celebrating all of them simultaneously, but Zelazney 's atheists (or agnostics) prayer comes to mind.

To understand this in context you have to read "creatures of light and darkness"

Insofar as I may be heard by anything, which may or may not care what I say, I ask, if it matters, that you be forgiven for anything you may have done or failed to do which requires forgiveness. Conversely, if not forgiveness but something else may be required to ensure any possible benefit for which you may be eligible after the destruction of your body, I ask that this, whatever it may be, be granted or withheld, as the case may be, in such a manner as to insure your receiving said benefit. I ask this in my capacity as your elected intermediary between yourself and that which may not be yourself, but which may have an interest in the matter of your receiving as much as it is possible for you to receive of this thing, and which may in some way be influenced by this ceremony. Amen.
