    10-to-one the NSA has already hacked the NRA database. In fact, collecting that information to try and track terrorists makes more sense than collecting tweets and facebook posts. NRA, Uncle Sam thanks you for your service!

    (come to think of it, this comment will probably end up in both databases...)

      Yeah, the Federal government can abuse their power, put together a list from the NRA/GOA/JPFO/CCRKBA/SAF membership lists, cross-reference it against credit card transactions of guns and ammo buys, and come up with a pretty comprehensive list. They can then go door to door with that list and arrest anyone who refuses to surrender their firearms. All of this is a gross violation of our civil liberties under the Constitution, even if you don't accept the Heller interpretation of the Second Amendment.

      Why aren't more progressives, you know, outraged about it?

      Because, lemme tell you, they can do exactly the same thing and figure out who's had an abortion. Which throws the basis for Roe v. Wade out the window if we let this stand.
