  •  You know, it struck me ... (4+ / 0-)

... as i was making breakfast, that i agonize over the purchase of used steamers, while you're considering the purchase of an entire house!  It's a wonder you're able to get to sleep at night ... :)

the thing about buying used is it doesn't hurt as much if it gets destroyed. I am still thinking about the house. I am being pushed by several. Someone outside the country has offered to go in with two of us. All he asks is that he can live on the third floor during summer. During our winter, he stays in the southern hemisphere.

I hope these friendships are solid.  Money can make people very weird ...

"How come i'm always the one to plunge the toilets while you drink all the wine and leave your water rings everywhere!  I'm literally sick of this shit!"

You've probably considered all that though. :)

I hear it's going to be the wave of the future. You might as well get a head start...

I hope that old old one can be preserved!!!  Doesn't it have historical value??

I haven't ruled anything out but I'm beginning to think that maybe I should just stay put. I truly love the house that I am in.

Is incredible, GUG.  I wish they could put it back to its original state!

staying put and adding a standing seam metal roof but then I remembered you just put on a new roof!

The awesome thing about your house, other than the amazing things you've done with the interiors, is that it grew organically over a period of centuries.

I do wonder if you should move to a less tick-infested place though...

and it's going across the country. A lady was here Sunday who is recovering from her third infection. Yeah, she's a gardener also. It's all because our deer population has exploded. I have thought about moving to a more urban area but I can be downtown already in twelve minutes when there is no traffic.

I don't know if I was on DK when I was considering a condo on the fourteenth floor overlooking the Connecticut River. Just the balcony was more square footage than my present house as it went across the top of the bottom floor condos. I could kick myself sometimes from not getting it as the price was very reasonable and across the river from Hartford. The city lights at night from the balcony were spectacular, especially reflecting in the water. I got a bit scared though because the building apparently shifted slightly many years before but it had gone through extensive renovations to shore it up.

My neighborhood is beginning to change a bit around the edges and I don't like the new school going in up the road. I have no idea what that is going to be like until they start up. I hardly ever see a metal roof up here. They are much more prevalent down south and my brother has one on his house.
