    I think it is important to realize the effects of our actions (e.g. eating meat).

    I used to work in clinical labs, first in a blood bank for three years, and then in the cancer cytogenetics lab at the University of Chicago.  Some lab techs seem to forget that there are real people behind every procedure that they do.  For me, all it took was a trip to pediatric oncology to bring it all home to me.  Nothing like seeing children with cancer to realize the impact of the work I was doing.

    I have no problem with responsible hunters.  It's just something I choose not to do.
