Forget even working at walmart. Jobs working in places like walmart or fast food are for teenagers.

There is no advancement in these kinds of jobs.

Go to College. It's free to anyone financially eligible (ie poor).

Call the Financial Aid Office of the College you want to attend and they will help you enroll and complete the Financial Aid Application.

Financial Aid also offers a Federal Work-Study (FWS) Program.  An easy job at minimum wage part of your financial aid package. Work at school.

for trade school in this diary too.

If a person is over 18 and one does not live with their parents for one year (not positive but what I was told back in college), then the parent's income doesn't count.

Besides I doubt that anyone working in a job like walmart has rich parents so they don't have to worry (even if they do live with them).

The  parent's income is probably low enough so that it's within the limits; for them to qualify for and receive, full, federally funded financial aid benefits. (Hey, maybe their parent's would like to go to college too. They also probably qualify for financial aid. Make it a family affair.

Forget working like a servant 100 years ago. Get an education outsmart the boss!

And don't worry about all the talk about college financing.

Federal Financial Aid will pay your expenses for a moderately priced college or university. Then there's work study. Which is part of the financial aid package. Everybody's eligible for it. It's a sitting down job for minimum wage. On campus, no running around from school to job, etc. And there's Scholarships too.

Don't be a fool, go to school! That's where the rich send their kids. They don't send them to work at walmart for sure!
