    Nobody from the US or Israel is going to admit that the US can't be considered to be intervening for humanitarian interests.

    Nobody is going to say, "the US's relationship with Israel will guarantee that it's damned no matter what it does to affect outcomes in Syria, and the more it does the more it's going to be damned".  

    I googled "confirmation bias" and Daily Kos raided my house! And and and smashed my hard drives! Ask CNN, it's all truthy!

      it would STILL be damned with respect to Syria and Egypt.  We don't understand a lick about these conflicts to comprehend the ramifications of involvement, Israel notwithstanding.

        At least, if people thought the US had decent motives, screwing it up might not cause lasting harm.
