  •  What idiot came up with the idea (6+ / 0-)

that manufacturing a gun without a safety was a good idea?  Even military weapons have safeties, at least they did 30 years ago.  My circular saw has a safety switch, as does my riding lawn mower, but a glock doesn't?

An officer probably shouldn't have his gun on safety while on duty, but he should have the option of rendering the weapon at least somewhat less likely to be unintentionally discharged at a children's event.  Any weapon that doesn't offer that option shouldn't be 'standard issue' for any law enforcement officer.

A person's word used to be their contract, now people use contracts to get out of keeping their word.
