  •  Yeah -- as I said, I don't know why, but I'm not (8+ / 0-)

assuming they don't have a good reason.

What I do know is that a Responsible Gun Owner doesn't wander around in public with a gun that has no safety -- never mind wander around in a classroom.

If SWAT teams say they need them, I'm in no position to argue. I am however in a position to argue that any police officer carrying a gun without a safety on it in any circumstance other than an actual tactical encounter should be removed from any service role that requires him to have responsibility for a gun without a safety on it. That is Just. Freaking. Insane.

Just considering the one dude's surprise that a small child would reach out and pull the trigger on a gun -- what universe are these guys living in?

Seems to me that maybe GunFAIL should be required reading for ALL law enforcement personnel.

To put the torture behind us is, inevitably, to put it in front of us.

SWAT teams - above all other gun owners and handlers - should have good judgment.

"There is nothing we could have done differently." NOTHING?

But I'll bet the investigation takes a loong time and is v. e. r. y. thor ... ough. And the public forgets the stupidity of the, the, the "incident".

2014 IS COMING. Build up the Senate. Win back the House : 17 seats. Plus!
