    If you have nothing to hide, you don't have to be worried.

    Well if you are a foreign government, they assume that their friends are not spying on them. When this trust is broken, they get upset. Especially when many people lived under the Stasi.

    Laura's description of the real time during the detention of David Miranda. I didn't realize how concerned that David would be put in jail and then what would happen? The detention went to the top of the governments in Britain and US which shows how concerned they are about the public knowing what they have been doing.

    Back in the old days at Berkeley in the 1960's, we suspected that FBI agents were all around us. They even dressed differently during those days. A couple of years ago we realized that J. Edgar Hoover was directly involved in monitoring and disrupting the demonstrations. And along with the propaganda led to the election of Reagan as governor of CA and then president.

    These days the NSA and the government can spy on all of us.
