    why we would attack Syria, what would be the point? We have tried to avoid being involved in Egypt or at least avoided intervention in order for us not to say a coup has occurred so we can keep pumping funding in.

    So lets say you are right and we launch missiles at Syria, you are a little vague on the actual implications other than to suggest a popularization of increased surveillance. I am not trying to be rude but it seems to me that you are saying "bad" stuff" will happen. Is that not the same sort of logic used by the right wing to justify the very thing you are opposing? Bad stuff will happen? The problem is that nobody will ever spell out what "bad stuff" will happen and then after they tend to to claim they knew it was coming (based on vague assertions) all along.

    I am not a huge fan of increased erosion of rights through acceptance of increased surveillance, I just do not know where you are going with this....
