  •  Important instructions for GoDaddy.com users (none)
I've never used a subject header like this, but I'd really like to get your attention if you use GoDaddy and are planning, like most of us, to leave.

It takes time to migrate a domain and email, and there will be some inconvenience. So before doing anything else, put a notice on your home page. You can see mine at my home page.

    It contains the following message:
"Note: Because the current registrar and hosting service turns out to be an anti-American supporter of torture and destruction of the constitution, the site will be moving to a new host soon, and some disruption in email and web hosting may take place. Please be patient. And boycott GoDaddy.com!"

Use your own wording, but make sure your visitors get the message!

    •  No lagtime for domains, just for hosting. (none)
If you're hosted through GoDaddy, you're correct that there could be a bit of lag time.

However, if you're simply transferring your domain name to a different registrar, there should be absolutely zero downtime or any other noticable effect for anyone visiting the site or the site owner.
