We try to get to Santa Fe and Taos at least once a year and every time we do we want to move. We get home and start scouring the net for real estate. The prices are coming back up so it may just be a dream to live there. We love the area of El Dorado NE of Santa Fe. The prices there are creeping up as well.

From what I have been told San Juan and particularly Farmington used to be blue until transplants from Texas and Louisiana started settling here for the oil fields. Once that happened it turned into red lands. There is also a large population of LDS here as well. The area is nice to live in as it is close to the best part of Colorado (SW) without the crowds of the Front Range of Colorado. The culture here is just not very pleasant. Too many reactionary right wingers and over the top religions.
