  •  It seems to be working fine as is, to me anyway. (6+ / 0-)

    It's saved my life both financially and medically.  

    What I'd like to see changed isn't so much single-payer, etc, - though that'd probably be good - as that we set some limits on the outright piracy of medical suppliers....pharma, the device makers, the equipment suppliers, the for-profit "care centers", many of the hospitals.  These companies are really robbing us blind.

    Unless we control these costs - yes, price controls - we'll end up cutting care to avoid going bankrupt.  No matter what insurance or single-payer method we evolve to.

      Romneycare -- which was,btw, modified multiple times?

      Does Massachusetts subsidize health insurance premiums?

        and they're finding it to be quite expensive because of exactly what hooper wrote right above your comment.  You can find a general schedule of subsidies on the state's website.
