    I don't think anything should be done yet, because we know nothing.

    And once we know more, I still am not sure if anything should be done (I am fully aware of our track record).

    That said, I am not in favor of extremes in either capacity. Everything right now is "ifs". I don't agree with John Kerry in that we should immediately begin shelling. At the same time, I have to look quizzically at those who are unilaterally opposed to any intervention of any sort whatsoever; largely because my biggest "if" is "what if a gas attack happens again".

    I still don't know what we do then, but I'm not liable to take options off the table before I know anything. I have seen many normally logical progressives jumping through tinfoil hoops generally reserved for libertarians to disprove the gas attacks - not the agency of them, but that they even happened.

    I'm as skeptical as anyone in light of what happened in the Bush years, but man.
