    Not to say anyone should ignore high cholesterol but each of us responds differently to diet, stress, and other factors that cause it, based on our different genetics. Any one diet or drug will not help everyone the same way and it's important to recognize that.

    And I'll reiterate: heart disease (for which high cholesterol can be an indicator) is the result of interaction between several factors, but mainly diet, stress, and genetics. In my opinion, people treating CV diseases put WAY too much emphasis on drugs and diet, and overlook the need to reduce chronic stress in their lives as part of their treatment program.
