    threadjacking. Christian-bashing in a diary about the sins of pseudo-Christians is not HRable, but skates close to the edge.

    There are times when it is appropriate not to answer a fool according to his folly, as atheists see the matter. This is not one of them.

      Christians feel they have the right to tell the atheists when criticism is appropriate.

      I was dragged unwillingly to a Southern Baptist fundamentalist style church for years as a kid, and phrasings that come from that tradition are triggers for me. That "pleasing to God" phrase was one of them.

      Note that I didn't mock the general tenets of the religion. All I did was question the blanket statement that one person's belief in what God wants was obviously wrong.

      Even the Bible has several verses that essentially say "no one knows the mind of God".

      If you think that's HR-able, then go ahead.
