Is something I considered writing about ... because I have a small audience now, although it's probably not really indicated by # of followers.

    Basic rules are simple.

Write about subjects you understand and feel passionate about. Don't worry too much about the prose, just write it how you feel it, and the readers will feel it too.

Provide sources for the claims you make. These allow people to understand that you are speaking with authority, and they allow those interested in the subject an easy way to read in more depth.

    Don't plagarise ... Ever!

Treat your readers as guests. Accept the criticism and thank folk for any corrections to errors you might have made. People who comment in your Diaries are the ones you want, so don't scare them away.

Build a reputation as a good community member. Comment in the Diaries of others, and be prepared to be educated. It helps, when folk look at the recent diary list, that they feel disposed to click on your diary because they know you are someone they can chat with.

It takes time. So patience is a virtue.

Have fun. Enjoy your time here, you are among friends and if you treat folk as if they are friends, you will be fine.

I hope that the quality of debate will improve,
but I fear we will remain Democrats.
