You're as quick-witted as she is so you two can sit and exchange barbs and I'll sit back and laugh a lot.  :-)

I will hang in there (but you damned well better stick around to giggle with me and remain your fur kids' faithful servant).  It's all just such a nuisance to try this, that, and the other.  I never liked taking pills in the first place, and now that I spend Saturday evening refilling my pill minders, I just feel a little grouchy about growing old.  In my mind I'm about 32 - max.

Besides which, I have to outlive certain individuals, and I can't do that without being this side of the grass.  Really, I'm pretty contrary like that.  ;-)

"Slightly better" is progress, but I want your aches and pains gone, too.  Sending healing vibes your way....

    •  What a lovely compliment!! (5+ / 0-)

One of my oldest friends once told me that I reminded her of Molly Ivins.

      And I said, "Who???"

"How can you not know who she is???"

She sent me one of her books...and I got it right away...but I also got a huge case of the humbles.  No way am I in Molly's class....but I hope to be, someday.  I'd love to do lunch with her, though...both to trade jabs at the R's and to learn from the Past Mistress Of Smart Snark!!

Looks like I've got to stick around for a few more decades; I want to see how this next bit turns out!

Here's hoping they can keep our collective lumps and bumps from lumping and bumping us too much!

      hugs,
      Marti
