how many of your klan have been felled by "big shampoo"?  But seriously, people need to have things to worry about, things they can control, it helps the mind stay at ease.  This is why a Big Mac, Large Fries, and DIET Coke is the most popular order at Mcdonalds.

Or what they feel they need to, to make it easier to sleep at night. Like with the McDonald's analogy above. Yes, they're about to eat some shit. But they also saved themselves about 200-400 worthless, sugar calories. Sometimes I think people would just as well prefer they get the large regular coke, so that we can commit fully to ridiculing them and pointing out their failings. I dunno. Just venting for a second.

But yeah. I can do something that is bad for me, while at the same time trying to avoid other, un-related things that are bad for me as well. It's not so very difficult that I need to be reminded about the other things I do that are bad for me.

I am ridiculing ALL of our worries, and acknowledging that we ALL make decisions that make us feel better, and in the end, it is a net positive for are well being.  Hell, I dip snuff, yet take fish oil pills.  Last I heard, snuff is not as bad for you as once thought, and fish oil is not as good for your as once thought.  In the end, I think if a decision makes us feel better about ourselves, it is a good thing.

Do I believe the shampoo is dangerous argument?  No, I don't, but I won't be researching it either because we all have to pick our spots.

cheers, and I won't criticize you for smoking.  Like someone once said, "I don't know if not drinking, not smoking, and not eating fat will give you 90 years, but I know it will FEEL like 90 years!"

Sort of a (much) cheaper version of nicotine gum when I am trying to stop smoking. Also, at Raider games where there is no longer any smoking sections at the Coliseum, and there are no ins-and-outs, so you can't even step outside the stadium for a smoke without forfeiting your right to return.

I see studies show that the swedish style of smokeless tobacco (snus) has caught on a bit in harm reduction circles. I guess they have a different way of curing the tobacco which makes it much less carcinogenic. I wish they could come up with a way to make cigarettes less carcinogenic.
