    it is worth looking at consequences too.

    The Brits do not feel they have fewer rights than Americans. That's an American myth :)

      No 1st amendment/Bill of Rights does make some difference, even in an age where said document is under assault.

      The surveillance is also more entrenched, if what I've read about the Ring of Steel is correct--though I guess that's only for the financial sector (?)

      When I'm reading American news sources, I'm not sure what they mean by "City of London" LOL.

      The party of Kennedy is also the party of Eastland. The party of Javits is also the party of Goldwater. Where is our party? Where is the political party that will make it unnecessary to march on Washington?

        The problem is that Americans judge the UK by American standards.
