    Florida law says that, if a defendant is acquitted, he is not responsible for certain costs he had to pay as a result of any pre-trial incarceration and the trial
    Do those "certain costs" included expert witnesses or  attorney's fees? IIRC, O'Mara was quite pissed off when he found out about the donations. He was prepared to be paid via the state indigent fund, but was unable to access the fund, as his client wasn't indigent. I can understand not being required to pay court costs, but he had some pretty expensive expert witnesses, not usually available to the average defendant.
