    already started having the debate:

And then I read that President Obama is ready to go it alone... he sounds more and more like a cowboy everyday.

President Obama is willing to move ahead with a limited military strike on Syria even while allies like Britain are debating whether to join the effort and without an endorsement from the United Nations Security Council, senior administration officials said Thursday.

Who knew that President Obama would take such a stance with other countries not so willing now to rush into war?

I listened to part of the UK Parliament war debate today.

Which is what this country needs an open debate in congress televised, and then a vote, and then wait until our "allies" come together. And to provide hard evidence of their claims, more important to start.

That this administration is even talking of going it alone now, and providing their own legal justification (so John Yooish) for going to war, is just so Bushish.

      As Lord Dannatt, says below......

"The drums of war were banging very loudly two or three days ago. The people didn't like it."

In the Lords, Lord Dannatt, the former head of the army (and at one time an adviser to David Cameron) has said that servicemen and women should not be forced to fight a campaign without public support.

It's been very interesting this week what has been happening in our country. The drums of war were banging very loudly two or three days ago. The people didn't like it.

    •  angie...there was an even more chilling... (0+ / 0-) on Russia Today, saying that the White House would make it's own decision regardless of the Uk or the UN, the refusal of Mid-East 'Allies' to act as 'launching pads' for support, and regardless of the U.S. Congress.  So, the WH declares it will act unilateraly and even without Congress f it is deemed 'so needed."

US ready to decide on military action in Syria 'on our own' - White House
      Published time: August 30, 2013 00:20  GMT.
White House officials told reporters Thursday that the statement from United States’ closest ally, reluctance from the United Nations Security Council, and widespread uncertainty in the US Congress would not be enough to sway Obama from a limited missile strike on Syrian targets. Obama, who has been criticized for not consulting with Congress over Syria, met with lawmakers and other top leaders in a White House conference call Thursday.
I can't find the video, but the write up is here

I cannot even begin to comment on this.  I must bite my tongue.
