    . . . there may truly be no crime, but there is plenty of recourse available to her.  It may be true that it was not something that gets handled in criminal court.  At the point where they removed all of her belongings and took possession of her home, it was gross negligence, but not a crime.  When they willfully and with intent, refused to make her whole again, they became liable for a rather large civil suit.  They needed to negotiate a settlement with her.  There is a very big payday in there for an aggressive and intelligent lawyer - and vindication and full, reasonable settlement for her.  

    Of course, it will be a civil suit, not a criminal one.

    The right law firm will use this case and the civil court to put the bank on trial - raise the profile of it to such a degree that the bank MUST settle on whatever terms she specifies.  If they do not, the opportunity is there for the right publicist to make this into the case that causes the public to demand corporate responsibility.
