  •  If this were property worth a small dollar amount (0+ / 0-)

and material goods that had no sentimental value, then sure, I would go with that. However, this was a person's whole life.

Usually one has to go through a fire, flood, hurricane or tornado to lose everything like that.

Theft of this magnitude by an entity that holds a certain amount of community authority and trust, abusing those positions for personal gain, or out of depraved indifference damages not only the institution's professional reputation, but also damages the reputation of all banks and lending institutions, and can contribute to the break down in our financial system.

there was a time when money wasn't guaranteed by banks, when you deposited it, in their care, and people stuffed cash in mattresses, and avoided using banks for their transactions.

This removed or limited the presence of interest on money in this country, and to some degree, helped foment a black market and limited the ability of the government to collect revenue.

If this sort of bullshit is allowed to go on, that sort of situation could arise again.

Bank transfer day will pale in comparison.

Gentlemen, congratulations. You're everything we've come to expect from years of government training (Zed, MIB).
